Pittsburgh Theological Seminary

Schedule: Travel and Lodging information

7:30 to 8:30am: Breakfast at place of lodging

8:30 to 9:00am: Registration (Rotunda lobby, Long Hall)

9:00 am: Worship service, followed by welcome to Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (John Knox Room)

9:30am: Introduction to the celebration & PowerPoint presentation on FTESEA

10:00am-12:00pm: Plenary address “Understanding Protestant Christianity in Contemporary China: Divergent Perspectives” by Professor XU Yi Hua of Fudan University, Shanghai.

*Responses by Dr. Scott W. Sunquist of Fuller Seminary and Dr. Linda Penkower of the University of Pittsburgh

12:00-1:30pm: Lunch buffet (Cafeteria)

1:30 to 2:45pm: Reflections on Partnership in leadership training (John Knox Room)

Celebration Location

The celebration will be held at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (616 N Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206). All activities of the day are located on PTS's campus. There is ample free onsite parking available.

Accommodations 

A group rate at the Springhill Suites Marriott Bakery Square has been secured for out of town attendees. The rate of $139 for a King or Double Queen suite can be reserved when calling 412-362-8600 and mentioning the event name “Pittsburgh Theological Seminary”. This rate includes a complimentary hot breakfast, access to a fitness club, free wireless internet and a complimentary shuttle between the hotel and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. This rate is being held for the event until 9/7/2012.

Ground Transportation

 Pittsburgh airport is about 45 min away from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and the Bakery Square hotel. You are free to arrange for transportation on your own. However, PTS will be providing ground transportation between the airport and the seminary and/or hotel for those persons interested. Once you have confirmed your travel information, please email the details to Caroline Becker , the event coordinator, so she can arrange the shared rides.
